We consider our Leisure Attendants to have one of the most important jobs helping to ensure the safety of our customers in our swimming pools and building.

Your key duties will include:

Lifeguarding at the pool
Ensure equipment is set up for the daily programmed activities
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Centre
Assisting with hosting birthday parties held at the centre (once resumed)
Ensure safety at all times by taking action to prevent accidents or incidents
Attend regular training sessions to maintain competency

You will need to be a strong swimmer and have the National Pool Life guarding Qualification (NPLQ), however if you do not have this qualification we can provide fully funded training!

We can offer great training opportunities that could see you becoming a Qualified Swimming Teacher and Fitness Instructor by you enrolling onto a Leisure Team Member apprenticeship (subject to availability), plus development programmes that can lead to management positions.

Full-time Leisure Attendants are paid up to £19,318 per annum.

We had a Christmas party in Treasure Island today and I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff. It was really well organised and all the children’s food and the sandwich platters for the adults were lovely. All of the parents were really impressed and the children had a great time. The instructors are very professional and enthusiastic; I especially like the early classes as they fit well into my routine. GRIT and Sencio Cycle with Phil are awesome and get me going for the day. They are both tough classes, but having an instructor that motivates and pushes you is brilliant.
